    In that much of the care comes at county facilities or places where patients are treated with disrespect, as per the diary on the rec list.  
    The "someone else is getting something for nothing" is precisely why I think Obama should stress why people WITH insurance or Medicare would be better off with health care reform.  When a program is seen as benefitting everyone (Social Security) it is popular but when it is seen as welfare, it isn't.  Plus people raised on individualism and tribalism can't see why it benefits everyone to have people in low-wage service positions have access to adequate health care rather than spreading disease and/or unable to care for their families because of untreated conditions that ultimatley prevent them from working at all.

    And of course with decent health care there would be no need for a separate Medicaid or SCHIP program.

    Democracy needs accountability. Investigate and prosecute the Torture Thirteen.
