Go read his bio or any of the numerous stories about him. No where is it mentioned he ever lived or even visited Chicago. The closest he gets to Chicago:

    Today's Zaman

An accident occurred in 1996 when the investigation into the two Iranians’ deaths was still under way. While Çatlı died in the accident, his other identity, Özbay, which was actually stolen from a businessman who applied to the Turkish Consulate in Chicago for a new passport in 1995 after losing his old one, is alive, according to official records. Mahmut Yıldırım, although presumed dead, has not been declared as such officially. This is why there are still arrest warrants out for the two men. In 2003, a criminal case was launched against the two, who have been accused of many crimes.

to be getting the part about Obama out there.

I voted for Obama dweeb.  I've only voted for one Republican in my life.

I am telling you that I am on the fence about him being involved in this scandal.  I hope he is not.  But I have to put that possibility out there.

    •  Is it possible the fact he was in Chitown (0+ / 0-)

Was not well known?  And that this was deliberate?

How could one of the most notorious international criminals, one tied to the assassination attempt on the Pope in 1981 have lived in Chicago since 1986 and have it known by only Edmunds. Also his car accident occurred in Turkey. I will give you this he visited Miami in September of 1982.

I'm sorry if I can punch a hole this big in her story with 30 minutes of fact checking what else is wrong with it.

        •  You have not punched a hole (0+ / 0-)

You can't find a big article that says, "Turkish Assassin lives Openly in Chicago".

You therefore presume he wasn't ever in the Chicago area.

But we don't know the details of how Sibel claims he came to Chicago.  She never said this was public knowledge.  It is quite possible she means he was allowed to live in Chicago but it was specifically not made public.

I will try to find the answer for you.

          •  But we can find out where else he lived (3+ / 0-)

so it's strange that there is no mention of Chicago. Additionally there's the Fethullah Gülen issues.

any article big or small or bio that has him even visiting Chicago. The closest his name comes to Chicago is from this story today from Turkey.

This idiot got hired as a translator in 2001 and worked for the FBI for six months.

lived, even if at the time he was in hiding and his location was unknown, what logical reason would there be for us finding no evidence that he lived in Chicago?
