  •  No, it's not the best we could (0+ / 0-)

do.  We could have gone the public health care route and avoided all the rightwing and corporate opposition because it would change nothing for them except possibly reducing their health care costs.

    •  Lets make terrible examples out of the poor (0+ / 0-)

working people who can't afford to pay the age tax or the child tax or the premium tax.

Lets not even discuss Canada or Europe or the 1800 who die needlessly each week (more than two Vietnam Wars each year) to support the murder by spreadsheet industry.

      They lie, we die.

Single payer WORKS. Its better, even Obama admits that. Its free, so NO surprises, NO adverse selection problem, no age, child or premium taxes.

    •  With this Congress (0+ / 0-)

...it's the best we can expect.

A comment about the state of Congress, not a proposal for healthcare reform.

It sucks, but there it is.  The problem is the Democrats in Congress who haven't caught on to what the 2008 election was about.

      •  Well, stomping our feet and screaming (0+ / 0-)

for something that was ill-defined, poorly named, and that was virtually impossible to price, cost, and fund didn't help them out.
