Offer Medicare to young adults, 18-25 (or anyone under 35 enrolled in school).

I was uninsured the whole time, and would have cost an insurer nothing.

Its a cheap way to get coverage to healthy young people, instill some preventative care, and an even better way to get votes in the next two elections.
Pair that up with college loan reform..........

Electoral politics is coming down to Demographics, we own this one, but they are too apathetic to vote, so get the bill in, and in 2010,12 and 14 drill home that the bill could be overturned by the wrong majority.

My kid just got kicked off our health insurance (employer provided) as a gift from BSBC for graduating from college...with honors, no less.

How anyone can still support private insurance companies in health care is beyond me.

      They are totally evil.

It is simply self-defeating for any community to discriminate against half its population. Jimmy Carter
