"it will not be the first nation to introduce Nuclear Weapons into the Middle east.  Olmert reiterated this committment as recently in 2006.  What changed?

But here is Olmert in 2006:

Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Prime Minister, faced calls for his resignation today after admitting - in an apparent slip of the tongue - that Israel has got nuclear weapons.

But Israeli officials tried to push the cat back into the bag, denying that Mr Olmert had made any such admission and falling back on the Jewish state's policy of "nuclear ambiguity".

That first sentence does not seem to fit your comment above.

      However his spokeswoman said:

Mr Olmert’s spokeswoman, Miri Eisin, was quick to deny that the Prime Minister had admitted to Israel having nuclear weapons, saying that "Israel will not be the first country to introduce nuclear weapons to the region."

Since Israel does not admit to their weapons program which everyone knows they have the second statement fits with the context.

      and further:

A senior Government official added: "This is a real slip of the tongue which was not planned. It is embarrassing for Israel particularly when it is dealing with such a sensitive issue. But this does not change a thing. Our policy stays the same."

If you are impugning Israel for lying about it - darn you got them there. But since it is not official that Israel has them maybe you don't.

The thing is: Israel has not existentially threatened anyone with nukes, has not been aggressive with their nuke program, and has never shown them in public.

This is far different from the direction Iran is taking. BUT... even more than that, to put up some bullshit media conspiracy at the hands of Israel.... sigh....

Is that like Sartre and Beckett?

How is it different from what Iran is doing?  They said the same thing as Olmert, rejecting the idea a nuclear mid east.

I forgot you ascribe to the meme of the "Jewish controlled media" - my bad........

I also forgot that Ahmadi stated the Zionist regime would be wiped from the pages of history.... and even Netanyahu said about about wiping out Iran......Hmmmm nothing. Imagine that.

            •  Nope we had that discussion the other (0+ / 0-)

night in a diary. You used the term "Jewish Media" and dared me to HR you on it. I reported it to MB - he questioned you and you failed to respond.

I do not know that you don't ascribe to it since you were defending Hosni's claims that the world's Jews took him out of UNESCO.

So no I won't retract since you in this diary make that claim.

              http://www.dailykos.com/...

If you would care to explain yourself and our walk back those claims I and others would be happy to listen. It is not slander if as you say in the diary you stand by your positions there.

In Israel, which I was referring to, the media is owned and led by largely Jewish persons.  Unless you disagree, I suggest you untwist your outraged panties from your scrawny chicken legs and start acting like the thoughtful, reflective person I know you you can be.

Hey, I am also a Long Island boy.  And did the VBall circuit in SoCal, beach.

I am just leaving it at that.

Why couldn't you have said all of that the other night?
