    You do. The whole "us against the government" does seem wingnuttery. I know there are examples of government abuse (Tuskegee, Bush's EPA saying it was safe for rescue workers at Ground Zero), but these are about as common as plane crashes--that is, they are a small fraction of government decisions and very uncommon.

      How about the invasion of Iraq?  The design and implementation of a torture regime by the highest levels of our government?  

      Were these a "small fraction" of government decisions?

      Do you really believe that a government that is willing to torture people has your best interests at heart?
