    I imagine that if she wins, her wingnut superiors will force her into the party mold. Look at Charlie Crist--quite moderate and non-controversial before, but now shifting to the right as he tries to shore up support in the primary. I wonder if she'll be so moderate and acceptable once Boehner, Cantor, et al., get a hold of her.

    I don't much care for the Democratic candidate, either, but why would I want to hand a seat over to the republicans? Why give someone a possible springboard to bigger positions in the future? Heck, if Owens is so bad, then let's primary him in 2012. Nothing says you have to keep your own lousy members. Just ask Al Wynn.
