Waxman-Markey is not in the Senate, the Senate is creating its own bill. And the Senate bill was just unveiled on Wednesday, how can it be "bogged down" already???

Waxman-Markey so it stands a better chance of timely passage.

A lot of people have been working hard the last few months to get Dem Senators to support Kerry-Boxer.  We have a pretty good idea of who's going to vote for it, as presently constituted, who won't, who's persuadable, and who needs negotiation.

What Dem Senators will stand with Cantwell for this bill?  What Republican Senators will consider crossing party lines?

Senators stand up for clean energy

The Senate clean energy jobs bill would create jobs we urgently need and saves the Clean Air Act. But Big Oil and Coal are already trying to weaken or kill it.

"The Senate clean energy jobs bill, introduced by Senators John Kerry and Barbara Boxer, would create jobs we urgently need and protects the Clean Air Act. But Big Coal and Big Oil are already attacking the bill.

Please call your senators today at 202-224-3121 and urge them to SUPPORT the Kerry-Boxer bill and OPPOSE efforts to add Clean Air Act rollbacks to the bill."

Many MoveOn members visited Senate District Offices this week supporting the jobs bill. My wife and I did here in Santa Fe, NM. With so many unemployed, this bill is right on.

RL is right on this one, sorry diarist.
