    number though. How many voters in this district are actually persuadable?

    Oklahoma is one of the most Republican states in the country and yet its voters are majority Democratic. There's always stories behind the "index-card" numbers that are deeper and more significant.

    I guarantee you, if Darcy couldn't beat him in 2006 and 2008, good luck ousting a famous law man-turned n00b congressman in 2010.

      persuadable is probably pretty small given the nature of incumbency.  Kerry won the district by a razor thin margin in 2004.  Obama won the district by a larger margin in 2008.  

      Reichert won originally by positioning himself as a socially moderate, fiscal conservative.

      If Reichert starts pulling a Michelle Bachmann on a regular basis though, some of those unpersuadables might begin to look at alternatives.
