    died during the protest of the Iranian election, but they weren't on national news.  If I understand the story around Neda, she was a person in the wrong place at the wrong time.  That said, until her death, no one knew of her and beside dieing in a protest, what work had she done to promote peace.

    It sound as if people would rather find anybody else, just anyone else more deserving than President Obama.

    Personally, I believe it is well deserved, even if unanticipated and surprised that he was even being considered let alone unanimously voted to receive this award.

    Congratulations Mr President.  Well done and you'll have time to further your vision and prove your critics wrong.  May they have egg on their faces for years to come.

      So Neda was not up for the prize anyway.

        they don't award posthumous prizes, as was pointed out on the front page yesterday I believe.
