    An industry where it's absolutely vital to do it right.

    I think in a way the most dangerous places are the isolated ones, where most of the people around aren't even aware there are dangers, and the one person who is most likely to have been cautioned is the one who has gone in and gotten himself into trouble, and all the potential rescuers are ignorant of the dangers.  Places like the ice rink example in the diary, or the municipal swimming pool.
