That's my problem. And it's all part of their plan to keep wearing us down, keep defeating us. They will create such outrages on every possible front--war, civil rights, social services, public health, the environment. They're dividing and conquering. Stealing it all.

On this particular outrage, here's some stuff you can do. Join Veterans for Common Sense and Physicians for Social Responsibility in opposing the nomination.

Write your Senator. Particularly if your Senator is on the Judiciary Committee, and is Senator Schumer, who said about Gonzalez: "It's encouraging that the president has chosen someone less polarizing," said Sen. Charles E. Schumer of New York. "We will have to review his record very carefully, but I can tell you already he's a better candidate than John Ashcroft."

All the snark that's fit to...er...pixelate? liberal street fight

to all of our senators, Democrat and Republican alike?

Would any of them read it and develop a conscience?  Is it worth trying?

Democrats: We believe in fiscal, economic, social, civic, personal, and moral responsibility.

Republicans: We take risks with your future.

"a better candidate than John Ashcroft."

Whoa!  Don't set that bar too high, Sen. Schumer!  Someone's gonna trip over it if they're not watching their feet!
