    The fact that he is Obama's ambassador to Ireland makes it possible to call him conflicted.  My guess is that he will work behind the scenes to scuttle this.

    I also don't think that there are many in the NFL who will be eager to be seen as a Rush supporter.  The guy has personally insulted Donovan McNabb as an affirmative action quarterback.  Jeffrey Lurie of the Eagles isn't going to want to piss off his starting quarterback.

    In addition to that many black players see him as racist and virulently anti-Obama (which is partly explained by his racism).  Nobody wants to piss off the a group of people who comprise such a large percentage of the player base.

    On the other hand, many fans are Rush supporters and the owners aren't going to be eager to piss them off either.

    I think they are going to do their best to scuttle this without taking a stand.
