And moe, speaking of positive thoughts, I recall (from your last diary) that you also live in Washington state - I live in Kitsap county.  I'm wondering if you've heard about Harmony Hill Retreat Center (it's near Union, on the Hood Canal).  They specialize in positive thoughts -  "Our primary cancer retreats are designed to help individuals find emotional, mental and spiritual healing in the face of cancer."  I drive past this beautiful place weekly, and a recent Seattle Times article reminded me of its mission.

    From the Harmony Hill website

All our cancer programs are offered at no cost to participants.
We offer a variety of programs to help those facing cancer, and their loved ones, cope with the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of cancer.

Our cancer programs are designed to serve as supportive adjuncts to medical treatment, and do not provide medical care. All programs are held at Harmony Hill's twelve-acre facility on beautiful Hood Canal.

The Hood Canal is a beautiful place to renew mind and spirit.  Maybe the good folks at Harmony Hill can help guide you through this journey.
