    the free market will take care of that.  What a load of crap.  You can make millions before anyone figures out there is a problem and millions more before anyone puts a stop to it.  That is why tort reform is a load of crap. It is about avoiding responsibility.

    I have decided when someone (like my free market coworkers) starts spouting off about tort reform I am going to tell them that I'll agree to is as long as they include a clause that if your company is shown to shortchange or ignore safety issues to ensure profits, the CEO and all individuals responsible for that decision immediatly report to the gas chamber.  Then we can have tort reform.
