    Probably one of his more accessible novels.  The movie's coming out but probably won't be as good as No Country For Old Men.

      I like McCarthy's writing because it's somewhat more raw in an elemental sense, he really does away with a lot of the pretense to his characters, somewhat of an anti-tolkien - someone who not only does not lay out an intricate universe/society/language for each of his characters, but goes a step further and strips away all but the most visceral parts of character identity and lets the story drive itself; not "this is the way things are because it is the way the elves sang it to be long before time was time."

      He beat the Republican party and the Republican party fell apart.
