    I don't believe in discussing the symbolism of the author.  Though there are stories that are symbolic.  The great thing about McCarthy is his use of language, & even if I 'spoilt' the novel for you by giving away the plot, you'd be cheating yourself if you didn't read it yourself.  Like Rob Petrie once said, summaries are like someone trying to summarize Romeo & Juliet: 'Two crazy kids fall in love, & then kill themselves.'
