is a phrase used at Jewish funerals. But from your diary it is obvious that it already is.

I remember reading about him in the first Leo diary. I read all of them to find out how he was doing. I have the good fortune of still having my Mother here at 95 years old and still sharp and healthy (except for small problems!). I am still learning things from her, like how to bake strudel and also learning more about her parents. I just found out that my grandfather almost died from the flu in 1918.

Your father truly was a wonderful person and from all I have seen of you here on Kos you are a tribute to his and your mother's teachings.

    My condolences.

    •  Phyllis - thank you. (6+ / 0-)

I was learning about my parents and grandparents right up until the end. When I was a kid, I ignored the stories (I thought), but since Dad died have had my cousins over and repeated them. Now they are awestruck.

Cheers to your Mother. May she supervise your strudel making until you get it right naw. If you are Jewish, that's just not happening. I know. My Jewish friends in Chicago used to "share" following some lessons. Of course I had to go right over and taste the disasterous results - which were wonderful every time.

Committing the crime of torture mandates punishment. Covering up a crime is a crime. That must stop NOW.
