    Here is why an individual cannot opt-out of the public option: their personal income taxes are being used to "fund" it.

    That's it. That's what he really means. "My dollars will in some way possibly go towards providing health insurance for someone poorer than me."

    What an outrage, Sean! Yes, you should definitely be allowed to opt out of that.

    Actually, I don't drive, so can I opt out of paying for roads? I haven't been to the public library in years, can I cross that off? I don't have kids in school, so why should I be paying for education? I'm a pacifist, can I opt out of military spending? Please?
