    but the regular governor's election -- not every state does their elections in years evenly divisible by 2. When you're up against that sort of challenge, it's important to have a candidate that actually gets the voters' attention...and Deeds simply didn't do that. As for NJ, when the economy is in the toilet it's the party in power in the Governor's mansion that takes the blame -- that's the only reason Corzine went down.

    Civility is the way of telling someone to go fuck themselves in such a way that the someone agrees it probably is a good idea.

      Deeds lost because his opponent talked about jobs and local issues and attracted the moderate vote.(Even though he is a Liberty U wackjob). What I am griping about is the total lack of props given to Bill Owens for winning in such a conservative district.  We are claiming it as a loss for the ideals of Teabaggers, and while that is part of it. It is also a win for people who believe in a 50 state solution to winning elections.  A liberal democrat would not have won in that race.
