  •  Actually, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were (5+ / 0-)

    violations of laws concerning the bombardment of cities that dated back to the Hague Convention of 1899 (Article 27).

    But then, so were all high-level "strategic" bombing raids. We just argued that since the Japanese did it to China for years before we did it to Japan, it was ok.

    And, who was going to tell us otherwise?
