    particularly on the medical front. From a purely fiscal perspective, loan-forgiveness programs are a must. One of the biggest reasons that health care is so much cheaper in other countries is that they simply pay doctors less there. In the US there's artificial inflation of doctors' salaries because of the exorbitant price of medical school loans. Any fundamental reform effort must include reform to how we train and pay medical personnel.
