if you say you have no power, if you decide to be disempowered then you are... but beyond that

you haven't studied the issue one bit your opinion has no basis in reality ... simply emotion based

sorry I don't mean to be so blunt it is one of my failings

if Alan Grayson is the only hope for the future you haven't been doing your homework.... I don't mean to be offensive to you but like I said we are not on the same wavelength.... I realize the enormous challenge there is to restore democracy but I want/hope for people to participate so collective we HAVE A VOICE AND LEVERAGE in making the democracy work ..... it can be daunting to wonder what one person can do to make a difference but have to look no further back than Obama campaign for the playbook on how it is done

Goldman Sachs bonuses: $23 billion this year same size as California's budget shortfall. The gutting of CA's public sector is no coincidence. - Naomi Klein

no offense was taken. I was just pointing out the fact that we vote for people who we think will help us out, and all they do is take money from corporations and lobbyist and screw us.do you perchance listen to Democracy Now and Rachel and see how daunting the task is. It seems to me the whole world is corrupt. When so many people support the PO and congress is giving us this INSURANCE reform, not health care reform what does that say? And yes the Obama campaign was really cool. But I believe he doesn't really have a say in how things are done. Call me a CT but I think JFK was assassinated because he did things the wayhe did. And I do feel disempowered but I will sign petitions and call my congress critters who are in Utah by the way. I just don't think we have much of a voice in our government. Like I said, we want the PO, we want out of our wars. Did you see Naomi on Rachel about the empty logo book? Or the contractors that are making tons of money on our tax dollars? I DON'T have a say in that.
But you point is interesting. Thanks for responding.

Congress passed tighter restrictions on abortions but the insurance pays for Viagra? How does that make sense

      •  congresscritters aren't anything (0+ / 0-)

like 'real' citizens ....it's good to come to that realization

the only way to defeat wedge politics wherever it comes up is to not allow yourself to be splintered off .... have to take time off from it for few days here and there for peace of mind..... important to create responsibile citizens in the upcoming generations one person at a time or more to take your place when you have had your fill or aged out of politics....

I keep pushing back my 'retirement' from political activism date I'll know when to ease up if I've gotten enough political cultural edu. done in my one on one strategy....
