  •  'Thank all the counsel and ...' (none)
    "mindful of the import".

Quoting the Supr Ct, upholding rights to vote.

Supr Ct opinion controls my decision ... persauded also by SoS aguments ... that it is a RECOUNT, not a RE-EXAMINATION.

Finds that it is not appropriate to revisit decisions on whether ballots should be counted!

      What is this judge smoking?

"... persauded also by SoS aguments ..."

But didn't the SoS just argue that King County is doing the right thing by rectifying its error?

      •  This is an apparent reference to a written arg (none)
... by SoS counsel in the Supreme Court pleadings.

Now, what happened to my Friday?

      •  Random thought - Am glad SoS Sam Reed was not (none)
the co-chair of the Re-Select Bush campaign. His bio says he was a County Auditor, that at least sounds fair-minded. Arguing to count the newfound 500+ King County ballots supports the sense that he's principled. (Any thoughts?)

That said, I've heard that moving forward he wants to pursue a change such that people's absentee ballots must arrive, not just be postmarked, by Election Day - I think this tamps down the vote somewhat (and voters have no control over the USPS, ballots coming nor going). Also, am sad Laura Ruderman lost for SoS since one of her platform planks was electronic reforms and accountability.

        Congrats to your sis, N.
