  •  It would be nice to see more high tech execs come (0+ / 0-)

    out for increased taxes to help fund education adequately.  This is all going for naught if state and local budgets hyave to be cut and cut again because of declining tax revenues.

    But all we get here in CA is Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman talking about lowering taxes.

    One other thing:  The most important thing is a good teacher, but second most important can be VOLUNTEERS who go into classrooms to help out. It is a great thing for retired people to do.  Anyone can help elementary school kids.  If they can get a solid foundation in arithmetic then algebra is much easier.  To help with 7-8th grade algebra takes intestinal fortitude as well as knowledge, but anyone can do 3-6th graders, and it is very rewarding.  I think most districts have some kind of volunteer program.

    Your new Democratic Party: Billions for the bankster boys and not one dime for abortions. Even if it's your dime.
