  •  What wrong? (7+ / 0-)

The fact that the stolen e-mails are being interpreted by non-scientists, and being made into something they are not? Who committed the wrong here?
I think the diary does an excellent job of debunking every point brought up by the deniers, in fact.

he or she is not really addressing the content except in the most general terms.

The emails show that some wrong doing and illegalities occurred.

I don't need to be a scientist to understand that structuring payments to avoid tax is wrong. I don't need to be a scientist to know that suggesting colleagues delete emails in anticipation of a lawsuit is illegal. And so on....

    •  STOP CRYING "STOLEN" (0+ / 0-)

you are the reason why the story keeps going, you whine about someone STEALING EMAILZ and people think youre a goddamned pussy who got caught doing something wrong.

Ignore the "break in" , (trust me youre the only one who thinks its a REALLY a crime) and just make it clear that what was 'exposed' only helps your case.

I think I and many others think that hacking information is a crime and ought to be punished.  Privacy is a right in this country despite the right's attempts to eliminate it.

the more you focus on "punishing the OMG CRIME!" and not on the substance of the story, the more we lose the argument.

The public doesnt give two shits that anyone broke into those servers, because they feel there might be some "nefarious" activity going on. That justifies it in their minds.

If you address the activity and refute the "resulting assertions" properly, the entire situation goes away.
