  •  Wasn't that the second leak of the conference? (0+ / 0-)

I seem to remember one before everything got underway...
Some kind of preliminary draft that set per-capita CO2 targets for developed nations that were nearly twice those proposed for developing nations.

They took umbrage, to say the least.

Hmmmm, how would that reasonaing go?
    Oh yeah --

"Hey! We've been living in poverty and we haven't been belching CO2 into the atmosphere. Why are we the ones stuck with the teensy weensy caps?"

No rocket scientist required to figure out that response.

Free speech? Yeah, I've heard of that. Have you?

Thanks for the belching-gas joke.  I must ask, why are guys so into that?  I'd guess you are a guy.  I had a great pal who happily wrote that he was away from wife for weekend, with the guys, belching and the rest, while fishing.  My buddy loved to do it to tease me.  My husband can't give me any definitive answers (I think he's hiding...). Smiling.
But, most of the cows are in the US and India, yes? And that's where some gas, methane is making so much pollution, yes?

      •  Cows (and all ruminants, I would guess) = Methane (0+ / 0-)

        But Methane's not so bad.

Sure, it's about 23 times more potent than CO2, but only hangs around for a decade or so.

As to belching, if ya gotta ask , ya wouldn't understand.
        ;0)

magazine (Dec .2009 issue), about men and women in one society change gender/sexes with spouse. On the topic of "You Just Don't Understand" (an actual title of a book by Deborah Tannen, sociologist)about how men and women speak same language meaning different things.  Funny.  Spouse and I read it together. It's not what you meant, but I thought I'd mention it, smiling.
