    is a little different than doing energy audits and installing solar panels.

    FDR needed strong backs and shovels and pitchforks to get up and running that quickly.

    It's more than a little pie-in-the-sky to think we can ramp up a techno-corps in anywhere near the same time frame, especially given the training that will be necessary.

    I'm not saying it's not a good a idea.. it is.. but let's be realistic here.

      ...easier to get going than others. Construction workers with carpentry skills - and lots of them are out of work - will be quicker to train than the often illiterate farmboys the CCC had to deal with.

      But, of course, an entire modern program can't be got moving in a few weeks. And the jobs program needs to be more than just a CECC.
