    Are you for real?

    •  yes. (0+ / 0-)

using terms like "sell out" are designed to manipulate and evoke an emotional response.  Which is usually used to bypass a person's logical thought processes.

I'm tired of people substituting (or equating) their outrage for thought.

People are entitled to feel however they want, but don't present it as an argument for how things are.

These days, politics only serve to give people an excuse to be assholes.

        Guess you missed that part...

      •  Thanks for letting the dKos community be entitled (0+ / 0-)

to their feelings. I'm curious, if we're not allowed to evoke emotional responses, does that mean pictures diairies and such are not ok? Or do you just not like the remarks that evoke negative responses to Obama?

You want to have a discussion about issues, don't BASE your argument on emotions and then present it as if it were some brilliant insight into reality.  Because people who base their arguments on emotions very often miss the most obvious facts, even when those facts are pointed out to them.

You want to rant, rant.  But if you want ot be taken seriously, then be serious.

Is not merely an emotional response. It's juvenile and personal.

If the best the dailykos community can do is personal attacks when confronting dissent, then they are a mob of screaming brownshirts.

By your logic, the asswipes who attacked so viciously during town halls on health care are only having 'an emotional response'.

Be careful when you use your enemy's strategies - you may become indivisible some day...

There is no reason for sane people to merely hurl insults when they disagree.
