    health insurance and that is a rather rude statement to imply I don't care because I have mine.  You don't know me.

    My point is that this bill is getting worse by the day and I do think that the deaths of people matter more than the inusrance compnay bailout bill this one may well end up as.

      The notion that our pursuit of health care reform means we must forget all about the war, or that our buildup in the war means we must now drop health care reform like a hot potato, is ridiculous.  The government is bigger than that, even if the public's attention span isn't.  

      On the contrary, the public's distraction from health care while all their attention is on the war (and jobs) actually means we have opportunities to do things with health care we might otherwise not have been able to do.  (Just ask George Bush, who was a past master of this sort of distraction.)  But too many Dems I read seem to buy into this notion that tunnel vision and a one-track-mind are the most of which Congress is capable.
