    the wrong way and I also realize you didn't ask my opinion. But I just really wish a lot of the progressive blogs would move away from using SoapBlox. I realize why it is popular, but it just seems so limited from a design point-of-view.

      It makes all of the progressive blogs look so uniform. FireDogLake uses Word Press, 538 is actually a very customize Blogger platform, and Daily Kos is on Scoop.

      The only problem with a sudden change is that people might not realize where they are.

      Some of the people that wanted to engage me in conversation appeared to have been the losers in the 'Are you smarter than Michele Bachmann contest?'.

        look to a service like this or this. A lot of folks think of WordPress as a blogging platform, but it is so much more then that. I used to build sites by hand, now almost all I sell is based on WordPress. It is a very powerful application and the user interface is such that if you can get around in Outlook, here, Gmail, I can let clients manage their own site instead of paying me $75/hour to make basic copy edits (which most don't have any desire to do).
