    to consider electrical.

Of course, there is rampant sexism in the trades, plus there is a HUGE problem with illegal immigrants in the trades.  Most roofing is now done by illegal mexican immigrants.

illegal immigrants: I will not go there.

But about the sexism:  I saw this show on the Discovery channel about five or six years ago.  It was about a Master Welder.  And I looked at her, and thought, Wow, she loves her job.  You could see it in her eyes, in her body language, everything: and I could imagine being a student of hers, b/c she would impart her love of welding to everyone.

It just came through so clearly.

When that woman went into welding, I guarantee there was a huge amount of sexism.  You just can't allow it to stop you.

I will say it again, the middle class is getting squeezed by the offshoring of jobs to cheaper labor from the top, and it is getting squeezed by the importation of cheaper labor in the form of illegal immigration from the bottom.

All the while the Democratic Party pretends to be the party of middle class working Americans while it, at the same time, tacitly supports the polices which allow this squeeze to continue.

TO GO THERE.  Your problem with illegal aliens seems, to me, wrong-headed.

We need more jobs here, and are agreed on that.  But an exclusionary view is entirely too GOP for me.
