    Dear Mr. President Barak Obama:

As a big supporter of yours and Health Care Reform, I need to ask you a big favor.

As someone with a dear with who is a breast cancer survivor, I need you to issue a formal VETO threat for the current Senate bill if the annual benefit cap is not removed from the current "Managers Ammendment".

This is not the kind of cost control we need for health insurance.  A better idea would be to create a re-insurance pool for high cost cases that are spread over all the policies in the exchange.  The individual should not have to bear this risk.

A pre-mature birth, a heart attack, cancer, bad car accident and you could be through your annual limit in a month.

Please tell Senator Reid to find savings elsewhere.

This is a fight worth having...

a re-insurance pool for high cost cases remains a mystery. Perhaps, there has been and I missed it. Perhaps, the insurers want to continue to throw it to the states - Medicaid. There seems to be little coherence to the discussion lately, either here on Dkos or the Senate, but then I'm a serf.

Why have annual limits and rescission clauses in a bill if we are discussing "health care reform"? Answer, it is not about maximizing the health care delivery system and minimizing the costs. It is about whose ox is being gored and profits.

re-create limits and loopholes - but re-insurance pools have been around forever. It seems natural there should have been some discussion of this to defray costs for each company and the government when the more extreme case occurs. It just struck me as an obvious thing to be part of any Health Insurance reform bill. Apparently, I'm wrong.

some cost sharing in the bill based on overall cost differentials but not for specific expensive cases...but in general I agree with you...
