  •  In other words... (4+ / 0-)

You can believe in the "pretender" Barack Obama, or you can fawn over whatever article "just the facts" Matt Taibbi writes every week. You've made your choice, and I've made mine.

I'm in the pro-Obama wing of the Democratic Party.

By all means, lets NOT be confused by the facts! Look up the info for yourself. Look up who's in the admin. Look up Obama's policy on NAFTA, the bailout. Look up the facts, that's all I ask.

But if 'what you want to believe' is equivalent to 'facts', you're going to get the leadership you deserve.

It doesn't matter that I loved Obama's book. It doesn't matter that I cried tears of joy when he was elected. What matters is what He's DOING, not what he's said. And what he's doing on almost all fronts is terribly un-progressive!

      •  I for one LIKE Robert Rubin. (1+ / 0-)

He is a true progressive, a pragmatic progressive. We pragmatic progressives believe in really helping poor people, not just protesting everything that does not pass the liberal purity test. If Obama wants to include Rubin's proteges in his administration, I support that. And I'm a proud liberal; not all liberals see things the way you do.

Not Rubin. He ran citgroup into the ground, among othr things, and has never been anything other than an urepentent mega-capitalist. You think a true progressive gets tapped to run Citigroup? Think again!

          •  He didn't run Citi, my friend. He joined (1+ / 0-)

Citi as a non-executive Vice Chairman after Treasury. Charles Prince was CEO, followed by Vikram Pandit.
