  •  It's too bad we have to sometimes be our own (8+ / 0-)

    doctors.
i find that there are two kinds of doctors. The first thinks outside the box and is curious about the body and how he can help fix what's wrong. The second simply goes by the book and collects his/her paycheck.
Unfortunately, today, there seem to be more of the latter than the former.
My mom just got home about a week ago from an internal bleeding episode from taking coumadin. Her stay was extended far longer than it should have been becuase of errors at both the hospital and rehab. If I hadn't been with her every day, she might even have died.
Of course, those involved took little to no responsibility.
As for your problem, you might also want to look into Ayurveda supplements. There are several that are "adaptogens." That means if your body is too much one way or the other, it helps your body adapt. I find them fascinating. One is called Ashgawanda. But there are others, both Indian and Chinese.
In any event, good luck. Navigating the medical system in our country is no easy task!

Electing conservatives is like hiring a carpenter who thinks hammers are evil.
