      If everybody else would selflessly double up on their living accommodations, then neither of us would have to :)

        It just seemed like a great opportunity to be one :)   But it's not that I disagree with your point..  my argument has always been that people can live in smaller homes, more efficient homes using geothermal, built in the proper position to take advantage of the winter sun, etc.  (I won't be a solar-panel advocate until they're economically feasible.)  

        But my main gripe is that I really don't understand why people need 2800 sq/ft homes when their children consist of a dog and two cats.... and if they have kids it might only be one.   Does the average family require those gigantic homes to survive or is it just to make themselves feel good?

          in one part of the house so the parents can have a chaos free corner of the house. Or that's my assumption anyway.

          My brother lives in an 800 square foot house with his wife and 4 kids. Ours is 1400 with two kids. The kids get an extra 200 square feet each.

          Times, hard. People, starving. Foodbanks, empty. Bring them food, or donate now. (I'm on Twitter now)
