    I'm not sure about the chemistry... Though I believe many nutrients are retained in the charcoal. You're just reducing the celluose to pure carbon. And if you're burning the same crop you're growing, you're not going to change the Ph of the soil.

    My understanding is this is not necessarily the same thing as biochar since it's not as oxygen starved burning to do that pyrolysis thing...but this dude does claim you can sell it for a little extra coin.

    Not sure about that part.
