    is the Adagio Cantabile from the Pathetique (Op.13)  I don't like too many of the sonatas all the way through, but selected movements make my heart soar.  That movement is the absolute best.  I don't do embeds well (at all, really) so here is a Glenn Gould link.  It's a smidge faster than I play(ed) it at the beginning, but, hey, it's Glenn Gould.  He can do it any way he wants to!  :-)

    Thanks for your musical reminders.  It's easy to get swept up in the planning and making of music (choir, mostly) and forget about where it all comes from.
