isn't pushing single payer.  They could get rid of a third of HR, would not have those stupid yearly health care choice meetings, and could focus on making money.

This is one of the mistake the left makes. You assume that busienss people bright. They are just like anyone else- there are some smart ones, and then mostly just average people with a lot o fears. They have money. That's about the only thing that separates them from the rest of the population regarding attributes. Thus- somewhere they decided not get into the fight,a nd that left the battle between insurance companies and regular people rather than insurance companies and other companies worried about their bottom line. At the end of the day, I think these businesses were idiots not to come out in favor of a strong public option. It would have saved them money. But fear is a powerful thing. It makes you blind to the obvious.

level.  In order to create jobs and attract new business...states will take this on and truth be told that would actually be a better situation because hopefully states might be able to control costs at little better.  Many of them have to balance their budgets.  A reasonable compromise would be for the fed's to give the subsidies to the state's to enact health care reform...base it on ability to lower health care costs and improve health results...the more improvements you make...the bigger your subsidy...the better the results for your citizens.
