    expire unless it increases the deficits in 5 year increments up to ~50 years. In other words it will be permanent if it saves the gove money over the 5 year increments.
    A medicare+5 PO would do that easily. Bush tax cuts didn't so they expired (increased long term deficit).

    To sum it up if the program being passed via recon. stays in the black long term according to CBO it wont need a sunset date. period.

    The Baucus caucus is quite raucus and in the end will fauckus.

      To sum it up if the program being passed via recon. stays in the black long term according to CBO it wont need a sunset date. period.

      All you'd need to do is change budget priorities in order to kill the solvency of the PO.  Again, it's still more vulnerable than subsides.
