    That makes it right? "Our" government called my ancestors 3/5 human too.

    But if it provides you any succor and serves to assuage your righteous and obviously race tinged hatred, Canada uses the term 'illegal alien' as well, as does Italy, Britain, etc., etc., etc.

    I can only imagine how ones use the term 'resident alien' might send you into a tail spin.

      i for the life of me can not see why you feel so compelled to be so nasty. last i checked. i was living in the united states, not canada, britian or italy.

      deoliver's point is on point -- however,  your snide obfuscation is meant to belittle deoliver, not understand the shallowness and historical context for your comment.

        As in an individual who is not a citizen but who resides legally in the U.S. "Resident Alien" as in the term of art used by the USCIS.
