My brother takes an antibiotic at the first sign of a cold, which makes no sense since colds are caused by a virus, not by bacteria.  How many out there do the same?  I have so many friends who carry around hand sanitizers and routinely use anti-bacterical soaps.  I stopped this practice years ago.  I've read more than once that these special soaps are really no more effective than the old-fashioned ones.  And worse, may contribute to the formation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

I hope someone in a position of influence takes note of the Norwegians!
