  •  What? Is that even remotely, possibly true? (0+ / 0-)

If so, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. What is dKos coming to? Users now have their rating privileges suspended for reccing a comment that some people don't like?

    WTF?

I read the comment and don't understand WTF makes reccing it worthy of punishment.

Talk about a chilling effect on discourse. Now, we not only have to worry about whose fragile sensibilities we might offend when we post a comment, we now have to worry about whose fragile sensibilities we mignt offend if we recommend somebody else's comment?

    Whoa.

    •  Of course, I don't think it's new. (0+ / 0-)

I'm pretty sure people have had ratings abilities removed before for uprating certain comments. If this can be done for inappropriate HR's, I don't see why it shouldn't be done for inappropriate uprates.

Beyond offending sensibilities, that comment violated site policy. At least that's my take.
