  •  How about (4.00)
worrying about putting the "Christ" back in "Christianity" for starters, eh?

Then let's worry about the "Christian spirit" as expressed in an appropriated germanic solstice festival that used to include both orgies and human sacrifices in order to assure the return of the sun, eh?

    •  Huh? I was distracted... (none)
Did you say orgies?  Wow, I'm officially on board the putting-the-germanic-solstice-festival-back-in-Christmas movement!  I've had some free time on my hands since the election.    ;-)

        "ho ho ho" bit, eh?!!

The only problem is the whole human sacrfice bit...

However, as I remember, one thing was that the King was essentially viewed as a direct conduit to the god-powers...and when the king got old, made mistakes, or showed weakness...welll...the king was sacrificed to the god-powers....

        Hmmmm...

        •  Details, details... (none)
...don't bother me with details (mantra of the current administration, now that I think of it).

But yes, I see where you're going with this...and I like it...I like it a lot.  Let the bacchanal begin!  Or am I mixing orgies?
