...where men are men and the cars are scared, we find out the true character of automobiles. In the high country, Suubs, despite feeling like cheap tin cans, have pretty much replaced Volvos and Toyota pick-ups as the cars of choice.  I'm sticking with my old Volvos, 'cause I don't need the AWD where I am.  It's news to me that Subarus are "gay" cars.  I thought they were Green cars.

Any car feels good for the first 100k miles; it's the well-built and repairable cars that keep going after that, especially under extreme conditions.

It's ironic that it's some of the "wicked, evil corporations"  that are so much at the forefront of positive social change.  As a big corporate basher myself, I have to admit that some of them do a pretty good job after all.

And now there are a lot of people in that market.  A whole big section of the public.  After all, did corporate America not advertise to blacks because they thought the Sons of the Confederacy might raise a fit?  No, bottom line trumps ideology.

Sturdy, heavy, solid, mini-Cadillac kind of a feel to 'em!  I'm the proud owner of an '02 WRX and will probably buy Subies the rest of my life.

a.k.a., The Zippy Car, and he's the straightest man in the world.

I owned an 82 Suburu and it was a great car.
