  •  No BB guns for my baby boy, please! (6+ / 0-)

I wondered what Dad was writing about when he texted me asking if it was ok to use Connor for "partisan political purposes".

Getting a text from your dad might throw some people off, but nothing surprises me anymore.  I got a text from my husband's 80-something-year-old grandmother recently!

It might surprise you how long it took me to write that freaking thing.  First text on first cell phone (and not one designed for texting) that I just got a couple of weeks ago?  Oiks!

by the time you type the text, you can dial the freaking number, get an answer and chat a while.

...I'd just be talking on the phone.  They've been doing that since 1876.  How hip can that be?

Her typing is a bit slow, but her mind isn't and she's pretty damned opinionated.

Sometimes my sister (Mom lives with her) calls me up and says "Call Mom and argue about politics with her, she's driving me crazy".
