  •  If the Bush administration was worried (8+ / 0-)

about terrorists, they would have been enforcing VISA laws (i.e. the way the 911 hijackers were able to stay in the country and pull off 911), there would have been better security of our ports, borders, points of entry etc.
The "war on terror" has always been (and still is) about robbing the taxpayers, enriching the MIC and controlling oil supplies. The only reason the Bush administration even bothered to capture terrorists is so they could torture them into providing the needed "intelligence" to escalate the "war on terror".

    •  Truly, "terrorists" has replaced communists (5+ / 0-)

in the threats conjured up to scare tax payer money out of our pockets and into the Military Industrial Congressional Complex.  I have been the spectator to both the 1950s and now.  While there are some people who are justifiably angry with us, most of the 'threat' is for the same purpose as advertising -- to manipulate us.

2.5 trillion dollars have been "borrowed" since the [SS] system was "reformed" in the 80s and they simply don't want to pay it back. - dKos Blogger -
