divorce is painful all the way around, and while I have no love lost for Karl Rove (indeed, I believe him to be an incubus of evil), I cannot (having gone through this painful process) celebrate or mock anyone's divorce.  And was this necessary?

I see your point, but it's hard for me to say anything nice about someone who explicitly endorsed denying legal rights to an entire class of people by using a justification that he himself ultimately couldn't live up to.

I do agree that the 'jokes' about Rove hooking up with Jeff Gannon or other men are in poor taste.

in public life has been in poor taste and detrimental to the country. Therefore, put me in the column that says there cannot be any poor taste in mocking this turd ruthlessly.

and as I wrote, I believe him to be an incubus of evil . . . but surely we are better, here . . . and I'm still unclear as to why his divorce is either worthy of mention or mocking.  I could be wrong.

I don't think they're in poor taste at all.
I think they rather point at the truth (not that there's anything wrong with that).
I've thought for years that this guy is not straight and he's living a lie.
        It seems kind of obvious.
