    (2012 F).  Supporting materials will start to lose surface area, and activity will degrade above 1200 C. Tungsten can be used at very high T as a catalyst but isn't terribly active.  But thermal properties depend on bonding so without that info it's difficult to say how refractory these new materials are.

    BTW KP you overestimate the amount of precious metal in an automotive catalyst by about an order of magnitude, and nickel is not considered to be a noble metal by any stretch (although as you know it is a useful catalyst)
