  •  The money spent in Medicare is far more efficient (0+ / 0-)

but the doctors, hospitals, still have to maintain a huge amount of complexity because there are literally thousands of different payers.

Single payer means exactly that, one single payer.

    HUGE savings.

To get REAL AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE Left and right have to see what they have in common: 65% want MEDICARE FOR ALL. Realization of this must be stopped.

    •  Not to beat deceased equine, but... (0+ / 0-)

Look, this claim falls in the same bucket as those tax fairness or anti-war activists who claim that 75% of all tax dollars are spent on defense. Yes, with a favorable definition of what is included in a particular expenditure area, one can make any claim.

You claim 66-75% of health care expenditures go to paper work. I claim that if I search posts here, I can find someone who will claim that 50% of all health care dollars goes to profits. So now we're at 116-125% of the total going to something besides care delivery.

I respectfully suggest you are just wrong about your numbers.

      •  Its 52% thats spent on he military in one way or (0+ / 0-)

another, and thats probably a conservative estimate, because again, nobody knows the true figure because of things like interest on loans over decades..

But, its a very large amount.

'Single Payer' means EXACTLY that, one single HIGH QUALITY payer equals...HUGE SAVINGS and affordable quality healthcare, NOW.
